The Secret Garden
The East Sussex School of Performing Arts (ESSPA) stage a yearly stage production at The de La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. In 2016, ESSPA produced The Secret Garden; the Tony award winning musical based on the classic Frances Hodgson Burnett children’s tale, with Book and Lyrics by Marsha Norman, Music by Lucy Simon.
The project started with a photoshoot with the principal cast that formed the basis of a show identity and translated into posters, magazine and online advertising material. Having designed the stage set, Symian Creative worked closely with the lighting and costume designer, as well as a leading the set construction and decoration. Mapped animations were also created and used throughout the production to support and enhance the narrative.
