J C Atkinson are the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of coffins and caskets and promote environmentally responsible innovation and product development within the industry.
After investment from Newable Capital and a change in senior management, J C Atkinson asked me to develop an entirely new exhibition stand to reinvigourate their presence at the NFE in 2024. Instead of the old modular and rectilinear stand, a central circular display cabinet was proposed, surrounded by a large seating area and overhead canopy. The recent update of the company branding (that used a colour wheel to denote the different sub brands) was introduced by printing directly onto the floor panels and presenting products lines in sequencial order around the central core. A combination of natural wood and OSB flooring referenced the previous stand to provide a sense of continuity.
Once the concept was approved, extensive technical drawings and CNC files where produced and delivered to the manufacturing team in Washington (Tyne and Wear). Numerous site visits where made in order to troubleshoot any issues and keep the delivery of the project within the set time constraints. The final build and product placement was delivered over 3 days at Stoneleigh Park.
